Clean Energy and Technology Networking Event, March 25th

DEN Colorado is bringing together leaders of Colorado's Clean Energy and Technology industry for our first networking event of the year on March 25th.  Despite a turbulent 2009 economy, the Cleantech industry represents a high-growth, dynamic industry segment in Colorado, the US, and Worldwide.  Whether you are actively involved or simply interested in Clean Energy, Technology, and Venture Capital, this is sure to be a compelling and informative networking event.  DEN has opened this event up to leaders in the clean tech industry, MBA’s and Ivy league alumni, and we are expecting a great turn out.  Register Today to attend this event!

  • 2009 VC investment in US Cleantech firms totaled $2.6 billion over 193 financing rounds.
  • 2008 VC investments on the same basis totaled over $5 billion.
  • The US Clean tech industry received over 65% of global VC investment in 2009
  • The three largest industry categories for 2009 VC investment were 1) solar, 2) transportation technologies, and 3) energy efficiency
  • The energy efficiency category - encompassing smart grid and energy management solutions - grew to 32% of all US VC investment, making it the #1 area of cleantech deal activity.

About the event:

Rob Masinter (Tuck ’95) and Ethan Martin (Tuck ’05) will moderate a 45 minute panel discussion comprised of speakers that are deeply engaged in the Federal and Colorado Clean Energy and Technology industry, including:

  • Trent Yang,  Director,  Entrepreneurship and Business Development - CU/NREL - Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI)
  • Tod Perry, Sr. Analyst, Commercialization and Strategic Planning, NREL
  • Tim Reeser, COO,  CSU Energy Ventures Super Cluster
  • Tim Huckaby, Pincipal, FMI Capital Advisors
